THE DESIGNER

Crystals and pearls. Fine work, full of details. Threads of patience, precision and care. Accessories and fashion. This is María Fernanda Zawadzky, Colombian designer. Detail oriented.

Inspiration comes to her from everywhere. A period in history, a trip, a good read, the same inputs. There are no limits, there is always a reinterpretation.  She studied Fashion Design in Medellin and worked for ten years in an important national company. Accessories were her taste and she found in them the best way to express what she felt, so she made a break and returned to the academy. She studied jewelry to learn about materials, techniques and giving the final touch. She trained to design, to take the next step.

In 2011 Zawadzky was born, a brand that bears her surname because the creative process is so personal, that the final result always speaks of the creator, reflects her taste and a deep love for the manual. In her words, as in her pieces, there is passion, creativity, energy and vision. That same perspective has led her down a path that has given her great satisfaction.

Zawadzky is a Colombian brand that manufactures everyday and bridal accessories. Inspired by nature and created by Colombian artisans, Zawadzky transforms modern jewelry into incredible masterpieces. 

THE PROCESS

The wire, gold or silver plated, is the canvas. The hands, the brush. Hands of empirical craftsmen who have joined the Zawadzky dream over the years. They are artists, a fundamental part of the team.

The first phase of the creative process that Maria leads is very intimate. Drawings, strokes, sketches...just let your imagination run wild. Then comes the sampling and the assignment of tasks, according to skills. She has gotten to know them. There are the wire weavers, the jewelers, the casters, the die cutters, the embroiderers and the assemblers. Men and women heads of households who work hours on the same piece and make everything possible. Zawadzky is many hands, a 100% Colombian company that speaks of craftsmanship, luxury and exquisiteness at the same level.

THE BRAND

In our showroom everything shines. They have a touch of magic. On the tables there are headdresses, combs, belts, garters. Sometimes also bracelets, earrings and rings.  We do what the market asks us to do, in small capsule collections. Everything in sight so that you can appreciate it.

In the back a chair and a lighted mirror invite you to sit down, to measure as many pieces as you want until you find the right one. It doesn't matter if you are a bride, or if you are looking for the perfect accessory for a party. If you are classic, conservative or a little more daring. We have a piece for every style, because we design for a versatile woman, who appreciates the details, the work and the dedication we put into the elaboration of each piece of jewelry. Because they are, truly, jewelry.
